A Morning Prayer with Psalm 32

Entry Song

In the morning let me know your love, make me know the way I should walk.
Glory to the Father, glory to the Son,
glory to the Holy Spirit now and for ever. Amen.
In the morning let me know your love, make me know the way I should walk.

A Prayer for Peace

Lord,

We pray for peace in the Holy Land,
for Syria and all the other troubled countries
where people’s lives are spoiled or taken from them
by violence or war.
We pray for refugees,
and for generous hearts for those who need to show mercy.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Psalm 32: We place our trust in you, the God of love.

The word of the Lord is faithful, and all his works can be trusted.  The Lord shows justice and right, fills the earth with love

We place our trust in you, the God of love.

The Lord looks on those who revere him, on those who hope in his love, to rescue their souls from destruction, feed them when famine comes

We place our trust in you, the God of love.

Our soul is waiting for Yahweh, the Lord is our help and our shield.  May your love be upon us forever. Lord we hope in you

We place our trust in you, the God of love.

Glory to the Father, glory to the Son, glory to the Holy Spirit now and for evermore.
We place our trust in you, the God of love

Let us pray

Loving Father,
we thank you for calling us and guiding us and for the generous loyalty you show to us all.
As we make our way together to your Kingdom,
help us to look on the companions you give us in our journey with the eyes of Christ,
and to see in each other today what you see in him.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen

We stand for the Collect or the Gloria

Communion Verse

This is the bread come down from heaven. Whoever eats of it will never die.
This is the cup of eternal life. Whoever drinks of it will live for ever.

Benedictus Verse 2

The Saviour comes to free us from our foes from evil hands, from those who wish us ill.
So God’s great love for all his chosen people is thus fulfilled in these our present times.
God’s sacred oath his covenant most holy is called to mind, his promises made true.

After Mass a sung blessing

May the Lord bless us and keep us from all harm;
and may he lead us to eternal life. Amen
