Justice & Peace commissioner for Argyll & the Isles Marian Pallister is also founder of ZamScotEd, a charity that supports education for children living in extreme poverty in Zambia. The charity has encouraged music as an instrument to engender self worth and with its help, social worker Chakwe Daka (a talented singer & drummer) has created a studio at the Mthunzi children’s project. Under his teaching expertise, youngsters explore issues as diverse as bullying & bereavement through songs composed at the keyboard & recorded in the booth lined with egg boxes (an excellent sound baffle!).
