Morning Prayer (6) led by Holly of Our Lady of the Rosary Primary School
with a verse of Psalm 42 and Doxology sung by Magdalen MacInnes.

Music introduction

Loving God,
whose Son Jesus  was brought up by Mary and Joseph in Nazareth,
strengthen us in our daily living
so that in good days and bad we may know the power of your presence
in our families and in our school.  We ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen

Sung: Like the deer that longs for running streams
so my soul is thirsting for you.
Like the deer that longs for running streams
so my soul is thirsting.

A Reading from the Gospel according to Matthew

You must love the Lord your God
With heart and soul, and mind and strength
and your neighbour as yourself.

Prayer and Intercession

We pray for each other:

Intercession 1:

God, help us to show that we are like Christ
by the way we care for our family
And for each other at school.    Lord hear us.

Intercession 2:
God Our Father, we pray for those who are sad today.
Comfort them and bring them hope. Lord hear us.
Intercession 3:
God Our Father, we pray for peace
throughout the world,
especially for refugees.   Lord hear us.
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name,
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth, as it is in heaven,
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, a
s we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Sung:
Glory to the Father, glory to the Son,
glory to the Holy Spirit now and for ever. Amen.

Blessing: May the Lord bless us, and keep us from all harm,
and lead us to eternal life.
