Mary Scott MBE
Mary, wife of Tom and mother of Maureen, was a devout Catholic, an enthusiast for education and a devotee of St Anthony and of St Pio. She loved and cherished the children wherever she taught, and was a well-liked and much admired headteacher at St Aloysius Primary School in Springburn. Utterly committed to staff and children she managed to combine enthusiasm with practical common sense. Among many other things she was instrumental in suggesting and supporting the multi-school Masses and Cantatas which took place in Glasgow for 30 years or so. ‘Her good works go with her – may she rest in peace.’
Funeral Vigil: Friday 11th January 7.00 at St Leo’s.
Funeral Mass: Saturday 10.00 at St Leo’s.
How blest are those who have died in the Lord:
let them rest from their labours,
let them rest for their good works go with them,
for their good works go with them.
Eternal rest give unto her, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine on her.
May she rest in peace. May she rest in peace.
May she rest in peace. May she rest in peace.
