radioalba schedule for the week of 21st July

radioalba.org christian is an ecumenical, internet-based radio which promotes prayer and news of good things happening in the churches and among people of faith.  It is sponsored by Glasgow Churches Together, by ACTS, and by the music Committee of the Archdiocese of Glasgow.

the Morning Hour at 7.00 is repeated hourly until 12.00
7.00: the Morning Prayers are led by  Brendan Gil,  Donald McInnes, Gerry Fitzpatrick
, Pat Graham SND,  Stephen Eric Smyth
 and Mary Bradley
.  Music is provided by the St Mungo Singers with cantors Grace Buckley, Catriona Glen, Helen Healy,  and Elspeth Glasgow, with organist Jane McKenna, harpists Noel Donnelly and  Teresa Irving, Violinist Clare O’Neil and Whistler John Allan.
7.15: The Rev Elizabeth Adam leads us in praying for the young.
7.20:  Canon Bob Hill looks ahead to the readings for next Sunday,  and we hear very short introductions to the daily readings at Mass from the Liturgical Calendar for Scotland..
7.25: 3 faiths praying for peace
7.30: In our Magazine this week Robin Green reads an article by the Rev John Chalmers from Life and Work;  the Rev Elizabeth Adam reads an article by the Rev Kathleen Richardson about core Methodist values;  Jean Swinbank reads ‘in the shadow of prophecy’ an article by Chris Donnelly in the Catholic Times, and then news of a meeting of US and Palestinian Christians on the latest Trump plan for the Holy Land. We conclude with a poem by Stephen Eric Smythe – Sounds of Iona.
