radioalba.org is an ecumenical, internet-based radio which promotes prayer and news of good things happening in the churches and among people of faith.  It is sponsored by Glasgow Churches Together and by the music Committee of the Archdiocese of Glasgow.

 

Morning Hour: 7.00 – 8.00 and hourly until noon.

Daily Morning Prayers  are led by Fr Gerry Fitzpatrick and Brendan Gill and include the feasts of The Baptism of the Lord and St Mungo.

Morning Prayer for the Young comes from St Monica’s Primary School.

Introductions to the daily readings at Mass by Margaret Chapman from the Liturgical Calendar

The Church’s Call to Prayer comes from the Rev John McPake and Mary Welsh

In our Magazine this week we listen to Fr Tom Magill’s reflection on the Magi, the scientists of their day! And Irene O’Brien gives a short history of St Mungo and his impact on Glasgow with music by the St Mungo Singers and by children of St Monica’s Primary School.

The radioalba Mass for the Baptism of the Lord is led by Canon David Wallace of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Glasgow with reader Fr Tom Kilbride, and music by the St Mungo Singers

Monday-Saturday 12.00 / 18.00 The Rev Chris Foxon, chair of Glasgow Churches Together, leads us in this week’s service,  as we remember the Baptism of the Lord,  with music by the St Mungo Singers.

12.15 / 18.15:  Plainsong from Pluscarden Abbey
Chatterbox: 30 minutes of news & views from churches with Liz Adam

13.00 / 19.00: Fr Denis McBride and Dr Noel Donnelly

 

2pm: NewsNatter, a new show presented by Wilson Bain and Elizabeth Adam. A lively discussion  of some of the latest news from the official in-house magazines of Church denominations and charities. 

 

3.00 – 6.00:  from the archives
6.00 – 8.00: repeat of lunchtime programs from 12.00 – 2.00

8.00 9.00 Evening hour  repeated at 9.00 and 10.00
