radioalba.org christian schedule for the week of the 25th March 2018

radioalba.org christian is an ecumenical, internet-based radio which promotes prayer
and news of good things happening in the churches and among people of faith.

The Morning half-hour at 8.00 is repeated every 30 minutes until noon.

8.00: Morning Prayers for Holy Week are led by Jean Swinbank, Netta Ewing and Joe Docherty
with music by theSt Mungo Singers, harpist Noel Donnelly and organist Jane McKenna.
8.15:Morning Prayer for young people this morning is led by Catriona Glen with the Canticle of Ezechiel.
8.20: Canon Bob Hill looks ahead to the Gospel of Easter Sunday and John’s account of the empty tomb
8.25: Michael Martin reads 2 poems – ‘And it as Night’ by Michael Martin and ‘A Transient Time’ by Chris McDonnell

12.00 noon: This week the SCO looks at a call for leadership from the laity, support for Oscar Romero’s canonisation, a special Mother’s Day protest,
and five years of Pope Francis.
12.15: How blest are they – praying with the bereaved.

20.00: The Evening Prayers  this week are led by Donald MacInnes and Robin Green, with the St Mungo Singers, cantors Grace Buckley and Catriona Glen,
harpist Noel Donnelly, and  organists Jane McKenna & Jacqueline Barrett.
20.20: Marian Pallister of Justice and Peace, Scotland, talks to Bishop Brian McGhee about People Trafficking and the Santa Martha Conference.  In the 1st part of Anthony Horan reports he tells of fresh initiatives from the Catholic Parliamentary Office.  Archbishop Mario Conti reflects on the Easter Vigil.
