Morning Prayer sch 18 with Gerard Carr’s Ps 22 sung by St Rose of Lima Primary
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen
prayer: Loving God, Jesus told his disciples to be like little children.
Help us to be glad that we are young
and to know that our families our friends and our teachers care for us.
Help us to learn to care for everyone in our lives.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Sung:
The Lord’s my shepherd, I’ll not want. He makes me down to lie
in pastures green. He leadeth me the quiet waters by.
A reading from Micah: Act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly with your God.
from Ps 22
My soul he doth restore again, and me to walk doth make
within the paths of righteousness, e’en for his own name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk in death’s dark vale, yet will I fear none ill.
For thou art with me, and thy rod and staff me comfort still.
My table thou hast furnished in presence of my foes,
my head thou dost with oil anoint, and my cup overflows.
Goodness and mercy all my life shall surely follow me.
And in God’s house for evermore my dwelling -place shall be.
Intercession:
Loving Father, as we say our prayers
let us be filled with joy in knowing of your love for us.
May our school, pupils and staff, be happy
as we begin each day together.
Lord, hear us: Lord, graciously hear us.
