A Morning Prayer for schools for St Margaret’s Day, led by Julia of Notre Dame High School, with music from a Canticle from the Letter to the Ephesians written by Noel Donnelly and sung by Catriona Glen.
Sung: May you be filled now, filled with the fulness of God.
Let us pray
Lord, those who seek you
find you in the people they meet each day,
with their strengths and weaknesses, joys and hardships.
Let us learn from St Margaret
to treat each other with kindness and generosity.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
A Reading from St Paul to the Corinthians (1: Cor 13: 4)
Love is always patient and kind; it is never jealous;
love is never boastful or conceited;
it is never rude or selfish;
it does not take offence,
and is not resentful.
Sung: From the Canticle in the Letter to the Ephesians:
I Bow my Knees before the Lord our God.
Each family comes from God.
The Spirit strengthen yours with inner power:
may Christ dwell in your hearts.
May you be filled now, filled with the fulness of God.
May you be filled now, filled with the fulness of God.
Intercessions
we pray that we will be generous with our families.
Lord, hear us
We pray that we will learn to accept responsibility.
Lord, hear us
We pray that we will value our prayers.
Lord, hear us
We pray that we will be good to those in need.
Lord, hear us
We pray for our country and the happiness of all our people.
Lord, hear us
Our Father . . . . . . . . . . .
May the Lord bless us, And keep us from all harm
and lead us to eternal life. Amen
Sung: May you be filled now, filled with the fulness of God.
