Christmas Mass

As we celebrate the birthday of Jesus,
We pray for the needs of the whole human family.
In particular we remember Pope Francis,
the people of the Archdiocese, for the Archbishop,
clergy and religious who serve them,
and for all the people whose efforts make parish life work.
Lord, hear us

We pray for all the churches of Glasgow, that drawn together by the love of God,
we may learn to work and pray more closely together.
Lord, hear us

We pray for our city, for our Lord Provost Sadie Docherty, for the Leader of the Council Gordon Mathieson and the members of the City Council: that we may have sound government, kind and just leadership, and effective public services.
Lord, hear us

We pray for peace throughout the world. For people everywhere whose lives are victimised by violence and war, especially just now in the Middle East. We pray for the United Nations and for the other international bodies established to help countries work together. Lord, hear us.

For all who are ill, especially in our families and in our own community, and for those who support and care for them. Lord, hear us.

For our deceased relatives, friends & fellow-parishioners, including Betty Currie who died yesterday, Vincent Carden and Ronnie O’Brien; and for those involved in the accident in George Square the other day.
Lord, hear us
