As part of their 40th anniversary celebrations, the St Mungo Singers are going to Hoddom (on the St Mungo Trail) next Saturday to the site of the 7th century monastery where the saint lived and where he was visited by the king who wanted him back in Glasgow. We will have a short service at the monastic cemetery and enjoy a little sight-seeing before going to Moffat and the Moffat Arms Hotel for lunch at 1.00.
The afternoon will be given over to exploring the riches of this ancient Roman town (including the renowned Moffat Toffee Shop) and we will visit the local church, St Luke’s, for the Vigil Mass before departing for home .
