Morning Prayer 14
Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God
as you give thanks through Christ to God, the Father.
Glory to the Father,
glory to the Son,
glory to the Holy Spirit
now and for ever. Amen
Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God
as you give thanks through Christ to God, the Father.
As we light our candle for peace, we pray:
Lord, we pray for peace in the Holy Land,
For Syria and all the other countries
Where peoples lives are threatened or taken from them
By violence and war.We pray for those who need to show mercy
through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
We sit for the psalm
Ps 118 They are happy, they are happy who follow God’s law,
who follow God’s law.
I understand my duty, O Lord, is to obey your word.
The law from your mouth means more to me than silver and gold.
They are happy, they are happy who follow God’s law,
who follow God’s law.
So may your love be ready, O Lord, quick to console your servant;
and give me your love that I may live, your love my delight.
They are happy, they are happy who follow God’s law,
who follow God’s law.
And that is why I love your law more than the finest gold;
and why I now rule my life by it; I hate what is false.
They are happy, they are happy who follow God’s law,
who follow God’s law.
Your will is wonderful indeed, therefore I obey.
Your word gives light as it unfolds; the simple are taught.
They are happy, they are happy who follow God’s law,
who follow God’s law.
Glory to the Father, glory to the Son,
glory to the Holy Spirit now and ever more.
They are happy, they are happy who follow God’s law,
who follow God’s law.
Let us pray
Creator, God,
You have given us this wonderful world,
And a faith which assures us of the hope and beauty of the world to come
Let us always be aware of your presence with us,
give us the grace to be guided by your word
and to look forward to the coming of your Kingdom.
Amen
We stand for the Collect or Gloria
The reading
Alleluia, alleluia. Speak, O Lord, your servant is listening, alleluia.

Communion
As we eat this bread and drink this cup,
though many, we are one;
one bread, one cup, one faith, one church,
one Lord for evermore.
After communion a verse of the Benedictus (4)
And you, my child, are favoured by the Most High:
you shall be called a prophet of our God.
You shall go forth as herald from the Lord,
and shall prepare the ways on which he comes.
You shall make known the wonders of salvation
to everyone called chosen by the Lord.
A Blessing
May the Lord bless us and keep us from all harm; and may he lead us to eternal life. AMEN
