‘How blest are those who have died in the Lord.  Let them rest from their labours, for their good works go with them.

It was with the greatest sadness that the St Mungo Singers learned of the death of one of their long serving members, Mary Bradley. Mary had been ill with cancer for quite some time but always seemed to be overcoming the latest setbacks. Unfortunately the cancer returned recently and more aggressively and Mary died at home on 7th April.

Our sadness is deepened by the fact that, due to the current Coronavirus restrictions, we cannot pay tribute to her in the way we would wish to, by singing at her funeral. An opportunity to mark her passing will come in the future when we are able to come together and celebrate her life. May she rest in peace. Our condolences to her family, particularly her sister Monica who looked after her in the final weeks.

‘Just as Jesus died and rose, so those who sleep in him will be restored by God.
As in Adam all have died, so all will live in Christ.. . .’
