Opening Prayer
Let us pray
Father of us all,
we are here together in your presence
to thank you for the year that is closing
with its blessings, its hardships,
its successes and its failures;
and to ask for your guidance and strength for the year ahead,
that we may grow together in faith, hope and love,
that our families and friends may be happy and prosper,
that our Churches may work and pray together,
that our city may continue its long tradition of hospitality,
and be a home where all who dwell here or visit
will feel welcome.
We ask all this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
