1 In the Morning – an adaptation of a verse from psalm 143.7 sung by Catriona Glen with a ‘Glory to the Father’ added as is common in the tradition of Morning and Evening Prayer.
The psalms are an inexhaustible source of spiritual thought, language and support. One way to familiarise schools with them is to teach the children one or two verses and even to add a Glory to the Father which may fit more than one psalm verse setting.
“In the morning let us know we’re loved
both at home and school and everywhere we go.
Let us show your love to everyone we meet and be filled with peace and joy.”
Glory to the Father, glory to the Son, glory to the Hoy Spirit now and for ever. Amen.
