radioalba.org is an ecumenical, internet-based radio which promotes prayer and news of good things happening in the churches and among people of faith.  It is sponsored by Glasgow Churches Together, by ACTS, and by the music Committee of the Archdiocese of Glasgow.

from 7.00 a.m. radioalba.org provides lots of prayer ( Morning Prayers, school prayers ( this week from Our Lady of the Missions, East Renfrewshire, with music by Catriona Glen), Evening and Night Prayers),  bible commentaries and news both in the morning and the evening.

Special items this week can be found daily  at 7.20 (and hourly till noon) as  ‘Canon Bob Hill reflects on the rejection of Jesus in Luke’s Gospel that began in the synagogue at Nazareth and was completed on Calvary, but which culminates in new life.’and we can hear a short introduction to the daily readings from the Lectionary. Then  at 7.26 (and hourly) a November prayer At the Loss of a Friend. At 7.30: (and hourly) In our Magazine Denis McBride continues his illuminating discourse on the beginnings of the Gospel;  Michael Martin reads the Pope’s message for the Day of the Poor, 17th November – ‘the poor save us for they enable us to encounter the face of Jesus Christ.’  We end our Magazine with a Blessing for self-acceptance written and read by Lyn McCrave.    The Lunchtime Hour includes news, prayer with the Bereaved, and then  a program on the hymns of the renowned Isaac Watt by Joseph McTaggart
