easter garden-jpegSCIAF holds a lovely annual service for deceased benefactors and friends. This year SCIAF remembered in particular two former Bishop Presidents, Bishop John Mone and Bishop Ian Murray, as well as member of staff Ann Ward, all of whom had died during the preceding year.

The principal celebrant was Fr. Joseph Mackle, and he was joined by Bishop President Brian McGee. The congregation included supporters and family members, members of staff and volunteers. In the intercessions, we remembered not only deceased benefactors, colleagues and friends but also people throughout the world affected by war and violence (natural or human) particularly people in the Middle East and Haiti.

The Mass was also an occasion to acknowledge and use the beautiful St Margaret chair, made by Govan Chairman John McLaughlin, and on loan to SCIAF (whose patron saint is St. Margaret) for the coming year. John and his wife were present at the Mass.
