radioalba.org  christian is an ecumenical,  internet-based radio which promotes prayer and news of good things happening in the churches and among  people of faith.

The Morning half-hour at 8.00 is repeated every 30 minutes until 12.00.

 

08.00: Morning prayers for Advent are led in succession by Hugh Kelly, Hugh Kelly, Donald MacInnes and Jean Swinbank.

08.15: The morning prayer for schools this week is by children of Our Lady of the Rosary with a verse from the Apocalypse by Catriona Glen and from Ps 121 by Magdalen MacInnes.

08.20: Canon Bob Hill  looks ahead to the Gospel of the 2nd Sunday of Advent.   3.01

08.24: a greeting looking back at St Andrew’s Day from Andrew Baker  of the Methodist Church.

08.27: Joe Docherty leads us inn a short service for peace.

 

12.00: This week the Scottish Catholic Observer  look at the upcoming centenary of state Catholic Education in Scotland, hear about a bishop determined to help refugees,  and one of the SCO team is off on a remarkable adventure.

12.15: a service for the bereaved.

20.00: The evening prayer this week is led by Catherine Walker with music by The St Mungo Singers, Cantor Grace Buckley, had list Noel Donnelly and organists Jane McKenna and Jacqueline Barrett.

20.20: Magazine:  Frances Gallagher reports on the Justice and Peace, Scotland delegation to The Jungle at Calais.    From Open House, Clare Fraser reads Danny Sweeney’s ‘How have we Forgotten;’ Archbishop Mario Conti reflects on the 5th centenary of the Reformation, and we have a report from the Comboni Missionaries about Radio Pacis –  a flourishing radio station in Uganda.
