radioalba.org christian schedule for week of December 9th


radioalba.org christian is an ecumenical, internet-based radio which promotes prayer and news of good things happening in the churches and among people of faith. It is sponsored by Glasgow Churches Together, by ACTS, and by the music Committee of the Archdiocese of Glasgow.

the morning hour at 7.00 o’clock is repeated every 60 minutes until 12 noon.

7.00 : Morning Prayers this week are led by Joe McLean, Gerry Fitzpatrick and Annette Carachi.
7.15: MP for school is led by Abigail Fraser with music by Catriona Glen
7.20: Canon Bob Hill comments on the Gospel of the 3rd Sunday of Advent Luke 3: 10-18
and we hear an introduction to the daily readings at Mass taken from the Liturgical Calendar for Scotland.
Then Catherine Walker leads us in a little service for those who are ill.

7.30: In our Magazine The Rev Liz Adam of the Methodist church reads from Africa Magazine – songs for a first born son and a children’s story – the smallest reindeer, and gives an Advent reflection. Eileen Grant writes from Aberdeen’s ‘Light of the North’ about the origins of the creed in Credo, and we hear Archbishop Tartaglia’s letter about the St Nicholas Care Fund.
