Canon Bob Hill comments on next week’s Gospel passage – from St Matthew 5: 17-37, and Joe Docherty leads a short Prayer for peace with music from Psalm 121.

The Noon Half-hour is repeated at 18.00

12.00 This week the Scottish Catholic Observer looks at a large deficit in Paisley Diocese, and the innovative new scheme launched to raise diocesan funds.  We will also discuss an alleged anti-catholic attack on a church in Rosyth.  Then tributes are made to the retiring Papal Nuncio, and a rally in  support of St Margaret of Scotland Hospice in Clydebank.

20.00: Evening prayer is led by Fr Gerry Fitzpatrick with music by the St Mungo Singers.

20.20: Justice and Peace, Scotland reflects on ‘care for creation.’ Then, Joe Docherty reads an interesting article from Africa Magazine on  ‘The book of the origin of Jesus, Messiah, son of David, son of Abraham  – a description ‘‘how the New Testament’ came into existence. Finally, Gerry Fitzpatrick reads an account by Lucy Williams of work through ‘Doctors without Borders in the Sudan.

20.50 Night Prayer is led by Joe Docherty.
