January 4th: Morning Prayer with Mass
See, amid the winter’s snow, Born for us on Earth below,
See, the tender Lamb appears, Promised from eternal years.
Hail, thou ever blessed morn, Hail redemption’s happy dawn,
Sing through all Jerusalem, Christ is born in Bethlehem.
Lo, within a manger lies He who built the starry skies;
He who, throned in height sublime, Sits among the cherubim.
Hail, thou ever blessed morn, Hail redemption’s happy dawn,
Sing through all Jerusalem, Christ is born in Bethlehem.
Let us pray
Lord, we pray for people in the Holy Land, in Syria, the Yemen,
And in all the troubled countries where people’s lives are threatened
or taken from them by violence or war.
We pray for refugees,
and for those who need to show mercy.
Lord, hear us
O God, come to our aid : O Lord, make haste to help us.
Glory to the Father, glory to the Son,
glory to the Holy Spirit now and for ever. Amen.
We sit for the psalm:
Psalm 66 May he bless us and keep us, may he give us his peace.
God, be gracious and bless us, let your face shed its light on us. So may your ways be known on the earth, all nations find your help.
May he bless us and keep us, may he give us his peace.
Let the nations exult with joy for you rule us with justice. Let all the peoples praise you, O God, let all the peoples praise.
May he bless us and keep us, may he give us his peace.
Glory be to the Father, glory to God the Son, glory to the Holy Spirit now and for ever. Amen.
May he bless us and keep us, may he give us his peace.
Let us pray
God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,
God of the Promise,
As the blessing of Aaron is echoed in the joy of the psalmist,
So let it resonate in our hearts
As we celebrate the coming of your kingdom
And salvation offered to all your people.
We ask this though Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Intercessions:
Lord Jesus Christ, Lover of all,
trail wide the hem of your garment,
bring healing, bring peace.
Schubert Sanctus and memorial
Kelvinhall Lamb of God
Communion:
Benedictus qui venit in nomine Domini.
Hosannah! Hosannah! Hosannah in excelsis.
after communion:
For all our sins will freely be forgiven,
the heart of God pours loving- kindness forth,
God comes to us like dawn comes to the sky
bringing true light, where darkness once prevailed.
So all who live in fear of death’s dark shadow,
God will now guide into the way of peace.
After Mass:
May the Lord bless us
And keep us from all harm
And may he lead us to eternal life.
