Morning Prayer 8  The Year

Go make disciples of all the nations;
I am with you to the end of time.
Go make disciples of all the nations;
I am with you to the end of time.

Glory to the Father, glory to the Son,
glory to the Holy Spirit  now and for ever. Amen.

As we light our candle for peace we pray:

Lord, We pray for peace in the Holy Land,
for Syria and all the other troubled countries
where people’s lives are spoiled or taken from them
by violence or war. We pray for refugees,
and for generous hearts for those who need to show mercy.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.   Amen.

Psalm 95:  Go into the world, alleluia, and teach all people alleluia.

O sing a new song to the Lord, sing to the Lord, all the earth.
O sing to the Lord, bless his name. Proclaim his help day by day.
Go into the world, alleluia, and teach all people alleluia.

Tell among the nations his glory and his wonders among the peoples.
It was the Lord who made the heavens, his are majesty, state, and power.
Go into the world, alleluia, and teach all people alleluia.

Give the Lord, your families of peoples, give the Lord glory and power.
With justice he will rule the world, he will judge the peoples with his truth.
Go into the world, alleluia, and teach all people alleluia.

 Let us pray
God our Father, let us cherish the Gospel we have received,
that we may understand more deeply
the message of your love for us and of human dignity,
and give us the grace to share our faith with others

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

We stand for the Collect or the Gloria

Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.
I will not leave you orphans, says the Lord. I will come back to you, and your hearts will be full of joy, full of joy.
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

During the Preparation of the Gifts Hymn: Tune: Creator of the stars / Craetor Alme Siderum)

Eternal Father, through your Word you gave new life to Adam’s race,
And call us now to live in light, new creatures by your saving grace.

To you who stooped to all who sin We render homage and give praise:
To Father, Son and Spirit blest Whose loving gift is endless days.

Communion Verse

This is the bread come down from heaven. Whoever eats of it will never die.
This is the cup of eternal life. Whoever drinks of it will live for ever.

The Benedictus Verse 3

God swore his oath to Abraham and Sarah, to give us all our freedom from all fear;
to save each one from those who seek to harm them, that we might serve in holiness of life,
that we might serve in justice and in truth, our ev’ry day in presence of the Lord.

Blessing: May the Lord bless us and keep us from all harm;
and may he lead us to eternal life. Amen.
