Morning Prayer 3

With audios for the Introit and for the Communion verse

Entry Song / Introit
Christ has died. Christ is risen.
Christ the Lord will come again.
Glory to the Father, glory to the Son
glory to the Holy Spirit now and for ever. Amen.
Christ has died. Christ is risen.
Christ the Lord will come again.

A Prayer for Peace

Let us pray
Lord,
we pray for peace in the Holy Land,
for Syria and all the other troubled countries
where people’s lives are spoiled or taken from them
by violence or war.
We pray for refugees,
and for generous hearts for those who need to show mercy.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Psalm 94: Listen to the voice of God.  Harden not your hearts.

Come and sing with joy to God!  Hail the rock who saves us!
Come before him giving thanks,  praise the God who made us.
Listen to the voice of God.  Harden not your hearts.

Come, adore on bended knee, praise the God who made us!
Praise the shepherd of our flock, praise the hand that leads us.
Listen to the voice of God.  Harden not your hearts.

“Do not put me to the test, doubting like your fathers
In the desert long ago, when they tried my patience!”
Listen to the voice of God.  Harden not your hearts.

Glory to the Father, glory to the Son,
glory to the Spirit now and ever more.
Listen to the voice of God.  Harden not your hearts.

Let us pray:

Be with us, Lord Jesus, throughout this day,
so that we may be conscious of your presence
and able to follow your example,
as we listen to the voice of God
and show the love that you show us to our neighbour.
You live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever.
Amen.

We stand for the Collect or the Gloria

Gospel Verse

Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia. I am the way, the truth and the life.
No-one can come to the Father except through me.
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

The Gospels:

Intercessions

O Lord, hear my prayer.  O Lord, hear my prayer.
When I call, answer me.

O Lord, hear my prayer.  O Lord, hear my prayer,
come and listen to me.

Communion Verse

Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood, says the Lord,
will live in me and I in him, says the Lord, says the Lord.

Benedictus Verse 3

God swore his oath to Abraham and Sarah, to give us all our freedom from all fear;
to save each one from those who seek to harm them, that we might serve in holiness of life,
that we might serve in justice and in truth, our ev’ry day in presence of the Lord.

May the Lord bless us and keep us from all harm,
and may he lead us to eternal life.  AMEN
