A Mass to celebrate the 700th anniversary of the consecration of St. Andrew’s Cathedral in St. Andrews took place on 5 July 2018, with the main celebrant, Bishop Stephen Robson. The Mass was held in the open air in the ruins of the Cathedral on what was thankfully a lovely sunny day.

The Mass was celebrated in honour of Our Lady and St. Andrew and the music for the Mass was led by the Music Group from St. Ninian’s in Kirkintilloch, with cantors from the St Ninian’s Music Group and the St. Mungo Singers. Music included: Where two or More of You (Gerry D’Agostino); Noel Donnelly’s Hail Mary; Sir James McMillan’s Kyrie (St Anne’s Mass); Schutte Mass; Bob Hurd’s setting of Ps. 42 (Like the Deer); Gerry Fitzpatrick’s Alleluia; Stewart Maclennan’s Lamb of God; Sing of a Lady (Liam Lawton) and City of God.
