radioalba.org schedule for week of 18th November

radioalba.org christian is an ecumenical, internet-based radio which promotes prayer and news of good things happening in the churches and among people of faith. It is sponsored by Glasgow Churches Together, by ACTS, and by the music Committee of the Archdiocese of Glasgow.

the morning hour at 7.00 o’clock is repeated every 60 minutes until 12 noon.

07.00: Morning Prayer daily this week is led by Mary Bradley, Stephen Eric Smyth, John Carroll, Gerry Fitzpatrick, Pat Graham SND, Donald MacInnes and Pat Graham SND  Music by The St Mungo Singers with cantors Grace Buckley, Helen Healy and Noel Donnelly,  organist Jane McKenna, and harpist Noel Donnelly.

7.15: a Morning Prayer for Catholic Education Week  comes from several schools.

7.20: Canon Bob Hill looks ahead to the feast of Christ the King and the Gospel passage from John 18 33-37 and we hear an introduction to the readings at Mass daily.

7.27: Jean Swinbank reads A poem for the Glasgow School of Art by Chris McDonnell and Gerry Fitzpatrick says a Prayer for Europe.

7.30: In our magazine we hear Gabriel Dolan in Africa magazine reporting on protecting the elderly in Kenya; an abridged Letter of Pope Francis for the World Day of the Poor taken from Flourish;

finally Brian Swanson of Flourish writes about the renowned Govanhill project, ‘The Space.’

12.00: This week the SCO discusses contemporary issues.
